OPTO-EDU A64.1010 Full Auto APO Laser Confocal Microscope

April 13, 2026
OPTO-EDU: A64.1010 Fully Automated APO Laser Confocal Microscope Motorized Z-Axis and High Speed Hardware Scanning Reduce Precision 3D Imaging Performance.

OPTO, a global leader in optical imaging solutions, is excited to launch the first research-grade instrument, A64:1010 Full Automated AA Laser Conflocal MicroScope. By fully motorized, laser confocal optics, APO objectives, high speed hardware scanning, and intelligent 3D reconstruction, the system is designed to be used for applications in life science, materials science, nanotechnology, and semiconductor inspection. It provides sub-micron optical sectioning and high quality 3D imagery, which marks a breakthrough in recent developments in domestically designed high-end microscopy.

Fully Automated Confocal Platform for Precision and Efficiency

The A64.1010 features comprehensive motorization:

  • High-precision motorized Z-axis (step resolution ≤0.1 μm) for autofocus and rapid Z-stack acquisition;
  • Motorized XY stage (100*100 mm travel, ±1 μm repeatability) enabling large-area tiling and stitching;
  • Motorized filter wheels and laser switching modules for seamless multi-channel fluorescence imaging.

Multi-wavelength laser (405 nm, 488 nm, 561 nm, 640 nm); pinhole optical path; high sensitivity PMT/CMOS detectors; out-of-focus light; excellent contrast; signal-to-noise ratio; optical clarity; APO objectives for good color accuracy; full set of infinity-corrected APO plan apochromat goals (10x/0.45, 20x/ 0.75, 40x/2.20 water, 100x/1.40 oil) to correct chromatic aberration in all visible regions, and accurate alignment of multi-color fluorescence signal (for quantitative co-localization).

High-Speed Hardware Scanning + Intelligent 3D Reconstruction

Unlike other software-based systems, the A64.1010 uses a dedicated hardware scanning engine:

  • Real-time Z-stack acquisition (up to 50 slices/s)
  • 4D time-lapse imaging (XYZT) of live-cell dynamics
  • One-click 3D/4D rendering with AI-powered denoising and deconvolution
  • Multi-channel fusion and co-localization (Pearson’s and Manders’ coefficients

OPTO-View Pro, the intuitive software for Windows and Linux. automation scripting and third-party data export (TIFF, OME-TIFF and AVI) and integration to scientific workflow

Included Applications
  • Cell Biology: 3D organelle distribution, cytoskeleton dynamics, nucleocytoplasmic transport
  • Neuroscience: Synapse imaging, 3D reconstruction of the slices in the brain
  • Developmental Biology: 4D embryogenesis tracking resil
  • Materials Science: surface morphology of micro/nanostructure, interface analysis of multilayer films exting
“The A64.1010 is more than a confocal microscope—it embodies our vision of 'precision, speed, and intelligence’ in one integrated platform," said OPTO-EDU’s Senior Product Manager. “It breaks the long-standing reliance on imported high-end systems and offers researchers a powerful, reliable, and cost-effective domestic alternative."
Experience the Power of Homegrown High-End Confocal Technology

The OPTO-EDU A64.1010 Fully Automated APO Laser Confocal Microscope is now open for global orders. Custom configurations (e.g. two-photon extensions, FRAP/FLIP, environmental control chambers) are available. A live demo or a trial unit can be found at cnoec.com.
